1985, Szolnok
After finishing secondary school, he continued his studies at the Práter Street photography school and on the photojournalism course of the Bálint György Academy of Journalism. Tamás Dezső and Balázs Gárdi both had a great influence on his work. He has won prizes at the Hungarian Press Photography Competition on several occasions and received a Pécsi József Scholarship in two consecutive years. In 2015 his photo series entitled Subcarpathia in the shadow of the Russian – Ukrainian war took first prize in the Feature Picture Story – Newspaper category of the Pictures of the Year International competition. In 2015 he joined the Pictorial Collective community of artists. In 2020 he received a Hemző Károly Award. His works have been displayed at several group and solo exhibitions.

Ottó első szamara Károly volt, amit a konfirmáláskor összegyűjtött pénzből vett. Egy évvel később eladta a szamarat. (2015) / Ottó’s first donkey was Károly (Charles), which he bought from the money he got during his religious confirmation. He sold the donkey a year later. Ottó a szüleinek segít a fejésnél. Amíg iskolába járt, a feladatai közé leginkább a vízhordás tartozott, illetve a faluba járt kenyérért. 12-13 évesen viszont már ő is több száz juhot hajtott a legelőkre. Ebéd a behajtás után. A faluban lévő kis ház meszelésére és rendbehozására télen kerül sor. Ottó édesanyja, Enikő (középen) 2020 szeptemberében tüdőrákban elhunyt. / Having lunch after the animals have been driven in. The little house in the village is whitewashed and out in order in the winters. Ottó 2020-ban lett 19 éves. A pásztorkodásnak ezt a formáját már nem csinálja. Belefáradt, és ahogy ő fogalmazott, a juhokat sem szereti már. Jelenleg egy gazdánál dolgozik. / Ottó turned 19 in 2020. He no longer does shepherding like he used to. He grew weary of it and, as he said, he no longer loves sheep.
