Tibor VASS

1968, Miskolc

He is a poet, a fine artist and the founding editor-in-chief of the periodical titled Spanish Flu. He graduated as a teacher and cultural manager in Nyíregyháza in 1989. He was awarded the Kassák Prize in 1995, the Szabó Lőrinc Prize in 2003 and the József Attila Prize in 2009. He won the main prize of the Central Eastern European International Mail Art Exhibition in 1995 and the people’s choice award at the XXI. National Biennial of Graphic Arts in 2002, as well as recognitions at the Miskolc Winter Exhibition (2005) and the International Exhibition of Stickers and Small Electrographs (2017). In recent years he has had solo exhibitions in Budapest, Oradea, Szekszárd, Sárospatak and Miskolc. His most recent album: El, Kondor, Plaza (poems, electrographs, 2018).
