Aliona FRANKL

She graduated from the Humanities Faculty of Eötvös Loránd University in 1980 and then received her mentoring qualification from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in 2014. She regards László Lugosi as her master. She has been participating in solo and group exhibitions since 1987 in Hungary and abroad (Budapest Gallery, Fészek Gallery, Nessim Gallery, Bolt Gallery, French Institute of Budapest, Hungarian Institute in Paris, Collegium Hungaricum Vienna, Millenáris Park, Hungarian Institute in Prague). Between 2002 and 2018 she was a teacher at the Secondary School of Visual Arts. She has won the art grant of the National Cultural Fund of Hungary and the resident scholarship of Budapest Gallery several times. She was awarded the Pro Cultura Urbis prize in 2007. Her works can be found in the following public collections: Collection of the Metropolitan Szabó Ervin Library in Budapest, the Musée de l’Elysée in Lausanne and the Beth Hatefutsoth Archive in Tel-Aviv.
