Tamás SCHILD

1958, Komló

He graduated from the humanities faculty of the Janus Pannonius University in Pécs in 1990. He started his career in photography at the age of fifty and since then he has been a freelancer. His main subjects are human dignity, fallibility and transience. In recent years he has had solo exhibitions in Budapest (2016), Aarhus, Copenhagen, Brussels (2017) and Somogytúr (2019). In 2015 he won the grand prix of the Kuala Lumpur Photography Award and the first prize of the portrait photography series category at the Hungarian Press Photo Competition. In 2016 he was a silver medallist at the Paris Prix de La Photographie. His works can be found in the Hungarian Museum of Photography and the World Bank Art Collection.
