István FAZEKAS

1973, Budapest

He graduated from the University of Szeged in 2006, received the Balogh Rudolf Award in 2010, a National Cultural Fund Artist’s Scholarship in 2011 and an André Kertész Scholarship in 2013. In 2016 he won the Grand Prize in the Hungarian Press Photography Competition. His solo exhibitions have been held at Mai Manó Ház – Hungarian House of Photography and the ArtBázis Workshop, and he has also featured in group exhibitions at the Palace of Arts, Museum of Ethnography, Kunsthalle Budapest and the Hungarian National Gallery. He works for Esti Hírlap, Blikk and HVG. He has had two albums published to date, both edited by Mihály Gera Mihály.
